Q. Where do we meet?
A. We meet in the sand at Beach 69th street
Q. What should we bring?
A. Come like a regular day at the beach, have your bathing suit on underneath. Bring water and sunscreen
Q. When do you give lessons?
A. We give lessons 7 days a week from June to September, Weekends in March, April, May, October, November
Q. How early should we be there?
A.Come about 15 minutes early, we'll get you signed in, sized up for a wetsuit, etc...
Q. What type of payments do you take?
A. We accept all forms of payment. Cash, CC, Check
Q How can we reserve a spot?
A. You can reserve by calling us to reserve a date and leave a deposit either via our homepage or over the phone.
Q. How late in the season do you go?
A. We go all the way through November
Q. Do you supply wetsuits and surfboards?
A. We su[pply all the gear you need, just come with a good attitude!!
Q. How many lessons will I need?
A. Very hard to say, our goal is to get you up standing, help you fall in love with surfing, and give you all the safety information you need to have a safe pleasant experience.
Q. I've never surfed before, is that OK?
A.Yes!! Just about everybody who comes to us has either never surfed, or possibly surfed just once or twice. we love working with beginners, and most people usually stand and are riding waves by the end of their first lesson
Q. Are there sharks?
A. There has never been a fatality at Rockaway Beach. Doesn't seem to be an issue with us.
Q. What if it rains?
A. We do surf in the rain, if you'd prefer not to come out on a rainy day, we reschedule
Q. Do I need to know how to swim?
A. Yes, You don't have to be the greatest swimmer in the world, just be able to swim
Q. Will I be warm in the water?
A.You will be nice and toasty in the water! We have season appropriate wetsuits for all 4 seasons!
Q. How much does it cost?
A. We reccomend a 2 hour lesson. In a small group this is $90
Q. What if I come alone, can I be put in a group?
A. Yes, we will put you in a group that is at your level.
Q. Are there places close by to eat?
A. Yes, Rockaway has some great eateries, Large portions, great prices, cheap stron drinks at Rockaway's famous Irish pubs!
